our Record    label + logo

Band Logos

During the emailing process between us and the band, we agreed with the band and their manager that we would credit the band throughout the process of creating the video. By keeping the bands name we decided to create a logo that we could use in the music video and also on the digipack.High Tyde are an Indie/Alternative band who already have a simplistic but effective logo. During the process of creating ours, we wanted to keep simplistic elements to the logos.

Band Logos made by Amy
Focus group edited by Lorna

We found that they liked this logo the most, as they felt that the simplicity of it was conventional for the indie genre. The second duo mentioned that the other two logos had too much of a "Surfer Dude" element to them and felt that it wouldn't fit for the indie/alternative genre. After receiving feedback, we improved one of the logos based on the audience's feedback, but found that as a group we didn't like the outcome. Now that we have a chosen logo, we can add it in to our music video during production or editing but we can also use it throughout our digipaks and magazine ad to create continuity and brand recognition for the band

After creating our band logos, we did a focus group to find out which logo they felt fitted the song best. We asked them the following questions;

- What one do you like the most and       why?

- Do you think that they are              conventional for the indie genre?

- Would you buy merchandise with          this logo?

- After listening to the song, what       logo do you know think fits best?

- How could we improve them?

Record Labels

As a group we created a range of Record Label logos each. We wanted to carry the simplicity of  the designs through to keep continuity throughout the digipak.

After discussing as a group we decided that our chosen logo would be "BLIND SPARK PRODUCTIONS" created by Naomi. We felt that it was was simple yet recognizable like our High Tyde logo.
