What University Has Taught Me

There are many things that uni had taught me, such as patience, resilience, hard work, independence - the list could go on. But one of the biggest things it taught me is that not everything is going to be as it seems!! Sometimes you don’t get a great housemate and there’s a little bit of a riff or maybe you’re not enjoying your course as much as you’d hoped you would. For me I’ve had a couple problems with the people I live with, at first it came as a shock but after a while I’ve began to realise that it’s natural, not everyone is going to get along and all of us have been brought up in different ways so it was actually to be expect that we’d clash heads.

I think this is the biggest lesson I’ve learnt at uni especially when it comes to moving out of halls and into a house the atmosphere changes and within a house you’re genuinely a lot more closer to those you live with. I wouldn’t really suggest living with a large group of people but if you think that that works for you then go for it! But for me personally I lived in a house with 10 people and it was A LOT, so this year I’m focusing on finding a nice house (because was all know some student houses can be disgusting) with a smaller group of people!
