So one of my New Years resolutions was to focus on me a little bit more. So at the weekend I took myself on a trip to London to see some friends but to also spend a good bit of me time.

Whilst I was there, I took myself on a little adventure to the Tate modern. The Tate has always been one of my favourite galleries because it just hosts so many amazing artists. I’d been wanting to do for a while to see (instert name) installation of the fountain based on the slave trade. Once I was there I was taken aback at how many people actually were by themselves too, just slowing wandering about and taking in all that the Tate has to offer. Unfortunately i was breaking in a pair of new dr martens and to anyone who owns them, you know how much of a pain they are to break in - so a lot of the time I found myself stopping in a room, sitting down and doing a little sketch of whatever caught my eye.

Normally I would be super anxious to go anywhere by myself and this time last year it was at a stage where I couldn’t even leave my house! So I was so proud of myself for being able to do a whole day out and about in London on my Larry!! I think people forget sometimes that it’s nice just to be on your own for a little while, it doesn’t have to be a whole day but I found it so refreshing! I wasn’t worried about anything and I could do what I wanted when I wanted which was absolute bliss! If you’re in London anytime soon, I’d definitely recommend checking the Tate out! Even if you’re not a huge arty person, they have so much for everyone to enjoy and it’s also FREE!! So you can’t really go wrong can you!
