Just before breaking up for Christmas we were set our summative project for FCP, we had to create a visual report based on a whatever combination we had been given. I got Tailoring with Extras, Sweaty Betty and Event. I was excited to get this new brief but also terrified! I knew that we have covered all of the stages via group work but I just didn’t know how I was going to do it alone.

I began to break it down into stages, hoping that it would help me a little bit more! I focused on my context stage a lot, making sure that I had enough research and evidence to put into my visual report. I’d never heard of the brand sweaty Betty before so I wanted to make sure I researched enough into them to know the ins and outs!! Thankfully they even had a store in Nottingham, but sadly they didn’t allow me to take any pictures.

The hardest part of this project for me was actually starting in indesign, I had used photoshop loads so me being cocky, I thought I was going to be an indesign expect but boy was I wrong.

It took me a good week and a half before I actually knew what I was doing in photoshop and after that it felt like a breeze. I did struggle a lot when it came to cutting down my word count and figuring out all of the things I wanted to include.

After a couple tears and a lot of money spent at the library Starbucks I finally finished my project! I’d spent a long time trying to get the aesthetic that I felt best represents me (but I later discovered that is a really messy aesthetic lol) so I decided to go for a clean looking image throughout the report. Overall I’m really happy with how it turned out! And the time that I spent stressing over it was kinda worth it considering I feel like I had a really good final product!
