So we had our first full day in Rome! The weather was amazing so we braved the day without coats (we did get a lot of stares from the Italians who were wrapped up in coats and scarves!)
Thankfully we’re staying close to Campo de Fiori so a short walk meant that we were in the heart of de Fiori in minutes. I’d always known that Rome was beautiful but I didn’t expect it to be this beautiful! The architecture has us all in awe and I’ve already gone through 2 disposable camera!
We’d been that a British carbonara was nothing like the Italian so we went to a little restaurant named carbonara and wolfed down as much pasta as we possible could!! We spent the rest of the day walking around the centre of Rome, checking out a few of the little shops, having the biggest photoshoot on the Spanish steps and eating as much gelato as we possible could.
On the walk home we took a detour to the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon and let me tell you, it was even more beautiful that shown in Lizzie McGuire! We threw a couple of coins in (I secretly wished for Paolo to appear and wisk me away) and we later finish our night with sangria and pizza!! If I’m honestly I don’t ever really want to leave rome!
