BROCKHAMPTON - SUGAR

If you don't know or have ever heard of BROCKHAMPTON, I suggest you stop reading this for a second, go to Spotify (or apple music if you're one of those) and play some of their songs before you read this.

BROCKHAMPTON are an American boy band, who personally I think are changing the game in the music industry. Unlike your typical boy band, the group aren't just singers/musicians. The group consists of vocalists, producers, graphic designers, photographers, web designers and their manager and as a collective they are BROCKHAMPTON.

But what I really want to talk about is the music video they released for their song SUGAR. I did media studies at A-level and if you did the same around 2015/2016 you will know that we had to analyse tonnes of music videos and I have never seen one like SUGAR. Although the video is so baffling, it's also genius! From the little alien, to the orange jumpsuits. I've never watched something that had me so confused but gripped at the same time. The video is definitely setting the bar high for artists to start upping their game in 2020.
