Due to the current global situation of coronavirus a lot of things such as fashion shows and runwa

ys I’ve had to be postponed or paused until a later date. Now we are unsure of how long we will have to follow safety measures 4 to make sure that there isn’t any second spikes within this pandemic so it’s time for fashion brands to get creative.
In the last month or so as in a lot of brands to different things but one of the most impressive things I’ve seen so far is the Hanifa 3-D fashion show that took place on Instagram, now before this I had never heard of Hanifa and I just so happened to be on Twitter when the live was taking place on Instagram and I saw a couple of tweets from people saying that it was one of the most crazy creative things that ever seen before. I completely agree I’ve never seen anything like this and I was so impressed by it they instantly made me want to know more about this brand.
So the brand itself was designed to have black women in mind, it was created by a woman named Anifa, she wanted to make sure that she created a brand that represented women that looked like her. As she was growing up she always looked in fashion magazines and catalogues and wondered why there was never any girls that looked like her so she felt like it was key to have a very inclusive brand.
Now going back to the 3-D fashion show, Anifa have been working on creating this 3-D models for awhile. In honesty I was completely blown away, for a long time I’ll admit I wasn’t looking at the clothes and I was trying to figure out how she’s done it. I thought It was ground breaking to be honest. This wasn’t something that she had just created because we were in lockdown it was something that she had been putting a lot of work into prior and you could really tell.
Could virtual fashion shows be the future of fashion now? Would we be charged for them would they be something completely free? I’m really curious to see how the rest of the year pans out especially with Haifa and if there are any more virtual runways coming our way
